Pop-up is a build-speed story, and the frame decides almost everything else. Buyers choose the opening mechanism first, because that choice sets the retail price band and how the tent packs for freight.

• Flat-fold spring steel. The classic pop-up. Stitched-in steel loops twist flat into the carry bag. Lightest and cheapest, best for 2–3 person entry models.
• Pre-bent instant frame. Poles arrive pre-assembled and hinged, so the tent goes up in one pull. Heavier and a higher ticket, but it sells on the shelf as "one minute setup".
• Fabric. 190T or 210T polyester with a PU coating is the volume spec. Move to 210D or 300D oxford when the buyer is chasing a heavier hand and a longer warranty.
• Build details. Taped seams, a rainfly over the mesh door, and a sewn-in PE floor are the three points that decide the returns rate once the tent is in the customer's hands.
• Packing. Every pop-up needs a carry bag and a printed label, then master cartons. The carton count per style is the biggest single lever on your freight number.
